Vacuum lifter for handling windmill blade

Lifting concrete materials is perfect to be done by a vacuum lifter. The unique features of vacuum lifting technology are highly suitable for the concrete industry. Thanks to the unique properties of vacuum handling, it is possible to demould, lift and turn concrete products all in one operation. Moreover, no embedded hoist facilities are required and the surface is not deformed in any way. The load remains fully intact, without disassembling or destroying the mould. Also, the curing time of the concrete material before demoulding is considerably shortened. Instead of at least 24 hours, demoulding is possible after 8 till 10 hours! This is possible due to the divided surface pressure of a suction pad. After removing the concrete product from the mould, you can turn the product and store it either horizontally or vertically, regardless of its shape and weight.

Our equipment is used to lift the steel plates of the windmill tower, to lift and turn the spare cabs of the windmill blades, to laminate the windmill blades, to demould prefabricated blades and to lift the long windmill blades itself.

After production spar cabs need to be lifted and turned to match the shape of the windmill blades. Specially for this purpose we designed an extremely long vacuum lifter (66,3 meters!) to lift and turn the blades in the required position.

To laminate windmill blades, we developed a vacuum lifting solution to handle the laminates from horizontal to vertical in the shape required. Due to the unique properties of vacuum, laminating of the long windmill blades goes easy and without damage or deformations.

We also designed a vacuum lifter to remove a prefabricated blade from a mould. The lifter demoulds and lifts the blade easy and fast without damage.
 
Vacuum handling is extremely suitable to demould and lift the extreme long windmill blades. The soft suction pads and divided surface pressure enable lifting without the risk of damage to the windmill blade. To demould and lift the vacuum lifter is placed on top of the windmill blade without any human interference. The blade lifting process goes easy, fast, safe and with less manpower.
 
We designed a vacuum lifter which can be used to mount or demount the completed windmill blades. The lifter is specially engineered for construction or repair purposes.
